Xdebug plugin for php is not installed - Using php7

#1

Wondering if I could get some support regarding the following:

I’ve updated my version to php-7.0.22-2 and have Xdebug installed to the latest version 2.5.5 however, when I start apache2 (with debugging) I get the following error:

Warning: can't enable debugging because xdebug plugin for php is not installed.
see https://github.com/c9/c9.ide.run.debug.xdebug for details.

I’ve followed that URL but I’m not sure if the instructions listed there are applicable to a php7 install on C9.io.

I’ve seen the following post: Xdebug errors after update to PHP7 However, this does not solve the problem.

What I see when I run php -v

PHP 7.0.22-2+ubuntu14.04.1+deb.sury.org+4 (cli) (built: Aug 4 2017 14:36:28) ( NTS )

with Xdebug v2.5.5, Copyright (c) 2002-2017, by Derick Rethans

Any support would be appreciated.

Does the debugger work with php cli or php builtin server runners?
