Writing a JavaScript App

If you’re creating a new NodeJS application please see our Writing a Node.js App guide.

Here are some frequently asked questions about Javascript development on Cloud9

Do you support custom .eslintrc files?

Yes. You can create a .eslintrc file in the root folder of your project. In new Projects this will be your ~/workspace folder.

You’ll then need to enable this file by going to Preferences -> Hints & Warnings -> Customize JavaScript warnings with .eslintrc and turning that option on.

The .eslintrc allows all default customizations and you can learn how to customize this file more at: http://eslint.org/docs/user-guide/configuring
