Working with sass in Cloud9

ruby
terminal
sass
css

#1

I noticed that when I type “sass -v” in the terminal I do get the version back, so I know sass is installed. When I type “sass fileName.scss” I receive this error

Errno::ENOENT: No such file or directory @ rb_sysopen - styling.scss
Use --trace for backtrace.

When in reality, I’m not suppose to get anything back, my file is currently blank, am I typing in the wrong command?

This is older but in case someone happens upon this, my guess is the terminal is pointing to a different directory - may wand to do a quick -ls make sure you’re seeing the original .scss file seeing as it should just return nothing with a blank file vs. returning the uncompiled code.
