I’m currently trying to code a slack bot that uses the Slack Web APIin Java. (flowctrl/slack-api)
The issue that i’m having is that in order to add the slack-api to an application it requires you to “Add the JitPack repository to your build file” (https://github.com/flowctrl/slack-api#maven)
Doing the following I can:
- Remove the Maven2 and install Maven 3
- Create a new project
- Build the test project
However there is no build file that i can see of even when looking through the hidden files in order to add a repo to it.
Install Maven 3: sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install maven sudo apt-get remove maven2 export MAVEN_OPTS="-Xmx256m" Create a Project: mvn archetype:generate -DgroupId=my-custom.slackbot -DartifactId=slack-bot -DarchetypeArtifactId=maven-archetype-quickstart -DinteractiveMode=false Build: cd slack-bot mvn package Test build: java -cp target/slack-bot-1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar my-custom.slackbot.App
I know you can click"Run > Build System > New Build System"
However the runner there looks nothing like what it requires me to add.
