Websocket: Cloud9 Host and non-local Client

#1

Hello Cloud9 community,

I’m attempting to setup a websocket communication server (host) running on c9 and send it messages from local clients (home PC or RPi). My approach is like this very basic example: http://www.bogotobogo.com/python/python_network_programming_server_client.php

I have not been able to connect to the server (host) running on c9; the client times out waiting for a connection. I’ve tried a bunch of IP and or PORT combinations but no luck. I don’t think my firewall is blocking it as discussed here: https://docs.c9.io/discuss/554c7a231f5dd20d008a7bab

What IP address and PORT should I use to connect a non-local client to a websocket server running in c9 in this way? Or, what am I missing to make this connection work with c9?
