[SOLVED] Can't connect to server in Rails 5.0.0.rc1

rails

#1

This is what I get after I run rails s:

`=> Booting Puma
=> Rails 5.0.0.rc1 application starting in development on http://localhost:8080
=> Run rails server -h for more startup options
Puma starting in single mode…

  • Version 3.4.0 (ruby 2.3.0-p0), codename: Owl Bowl Brawl
  • Min threads: 5, max threads: 5
  • Environment: development
  • Listening on tcp://localhost:8080
    Use Ctrl-C to stop
    `

After I click on http://localhost:800 and select open, it never loads. I’ve tried rails s -b $IP -p $PORT as well; here’s what I get after this:

`=> Booting Puma
=> Rails 5.0.0.rc1 application starting in development on http://0.0.0.0:8080
=> Run rails server -h for more startup options
Puma starting in single mode…

  • Version 3.4.0 (ruby 2.3.0-p0), codename: Owl Bowl Brawl
  • Min threads: 5, max threads: 5
  • Environment: development
  • Listening on tcp://0.0.0.0:8080
    Use Ctrl-C to stop`

Here, http://0.0.0.0:8080 doesn’t load either. I’m probably doing something stupid. Thanks in advance!

It’s working now. Not sure what went wrong…

I am experiencing the exact same problem. Do you have any idea what worked for you ?

You should go to your workspace url (via the Share dialog in the top right), not the localhost URL you’re given.
