Running Pygame in Cloud 9

#1

Does anyone know how to run pygame in C9,

I am trying a simple Hello World

import pygame, sys
from pygame.locals import *

pygame.init()
DISPLAYSURF = pygame.display.set_mode((400, 300))
pygame.display.set_caption('Hello World!')
while True: # main game loop
    for event in pygame.event.get():
        if event.type == QUIT:
            pygame.quit()
            sys.exit()
pygame.display.update()

I do have pygame installed

$ python2
Python 2.7.6 (default, Jun 22 2015, 17:58:13)
[GCC 4.8.2] on linux2
Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.
 import pygame

pygame spawns a gui window. You would need access to that which as far as I am aware C9 is only terminal.

If you want a hello program you can use regular python.

I would suggest using pygames on windows or linux on your own machine. Fairly easy to set-up.

You can use google drive or onedrive to sync your application to multiple computers via sharing a folder.
