Removing file from bin?

terminal

#1

I made a symbolic link and then moved it into my path using sudo mv jel/jel /bin and now I want to take the file out of my bin. How would I do this through the terminal?

#2

I believe a simple rm /path/to/file/you/want/to/remove should do the trick. Adding a sudo if need it.

#3

Nope. It only searches the current directory. Not the bin.

let says your bin is located here /home/ubuntu/bin, to delete a file called myscript.sh from bin you type the following:
rm /home/ubuntu/bin/myscript.sh and shorthand rm ~/bin/myscrit.sh
