Remote SSH into AWS Elastic Beanstalk

#1

I’m trying to set up a remote SSH workspace to our staging server, which is located at Amazon’s Elastic Beanstalk. I have already added my private key into my keys file on AWS but I’m not having any luck connecting. Has anyone else tried setting up a remote workspace on their EB instance?

I’ve already been able to setup remote SSH workspaces onto non-AWS VPS, but somehow applying the same steps does not work for me on AWS.

Might this have to do with how the permissions on AWS is set up? Should I be doing something else on top of adding the private key?

Unable to connect to new SSH server

Figured it out - I was using the server’s ip address instead of the hostname. Switching to the hostname did the trick.
