Printing on a local printer

is there a way to print files on a local printer?

Request for local printing

The best way I can guess to do that is to either download the file and print it locally or open it in a browser tab using a server to serve up the raw files then use your browser’s print function to print the file.

You can use the default apache config to host the files, just note that it will expose all your data in ~/workspace to the public so use sparingly.

sudo service apache2 start
to host file

sudo service apache2 stop
to stop server

You could write a plugin using the cloud9 SDK to do that. In that plugin you could hook the onbeforeprint and onafterprint events to display the file you want to print over the interface and then remove it again. Call window.print() to trigger the browser’s print UI.
