I’m just trying to change directories, and I keep getting “No such file or directory.” I ran the ls command and it acknowledges that it exists, but when I attempt cd workspace/file_name it returns, “No such file or directory” What am I doing wrong?
Can you copy and paste your terminal output. Or post a screenshot. Most likely it has a capital letter or space in the directory which you’re not typing correctly. Folder and file names on linux are case sensitive.
If you are in the workspace directory, you just need to type
cd file_name if doing to one subdirectory down. Or
cd ~/workspace/file_name. note the ~/ bit.
