Multiple Issues with "same origin policy" on Chrome (temporary fix included)


Using Chrome Version 54.0.2840.71 m (64-bit), Windows 7 64bit.

Suddenly this morning, following a Chrome update, I have multiple issues

I can only have one workspace open at a time. If I try to open a second in a new tab, it never loads and just sits at the Cloud9 loading splash screen. If I close the first tab and reload the second “stuck” tab, the second then works.

Syntax highlighting stopped working.

Essentially, loading resources was a problem.

The errors are similar to this
Access to Script at ‘’ from origin ‘’ has been blocked by CORS policy: No ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ header is present on the requested resource. Origin ‘’ is therefore not allowed access.

I have temporarily bypassed the issue by using this Chrome extension Allow-Control-Allow-Origin: *
