WP-CLI stands for Wordpress command line interface. It is a powerful tool that allows you to bypass standard methods of managing your Wordpress site from the admin panel and instead gives you access to you Wordpress installation from the terminal. To use WP-CLI in your workspace, follow these steps.

Installing WP-CLI

Open up the terminal and download WP-CLI with the following command.

curl -O https://raw.githubusercontent.com/wp-cli/builds/gh-pages/phar/wp-cli.phar

Install WP-CLI by running:

php wp-cli.phar --info

Make the WP-CLI file executable and move it into your PATH using these two commands:

chmod +x wp-cli.phar
sudo mv wp-cli.phar /usr/local/bin/wp

Now make sure it works by running:

wp --info

And you’re all set with WP-CLI. Checkout the WP-CLI homepage for more info on what you can do with it!
