How to stop running cloud9 ide on my own server?

I know I could use killall node or ctrl + c if the ssh connection is available. But this is not the best. Is there any command like node c9sdk/server.js --stop to achieve this? I’ve checked bin/c9 nothing help.

A command like that is not available. You’ll need to use some other software to launch cloud9 as a service if you want that.

To elaborate, you can use something like forever to run your server. This has the added advantage of being able to close your instance of bash without worrying about Cloud9 stopping. To start, install forever with npm install -g forever, then run forever start c9sdk/server.js [options...], then you can list the running applications with forever list, and stop them with forever stop c9sdk/server.js.
