My workspace “my-stuff-cpp” has ~1.1mb worth of files on it, but when I logged in just now, it says I’m using nearly half a terabyte. Is this some way to urge me to get a premium membership, or is my workspace botched?

You can run sudo ncdu -x / to see a visual list of exactly what is using up the space in your workspace.
You mentioned that you are using half a terabyte, however we don’t offer hosted workspaces of that size, unless you are referring to an SSH workspace.
