Find in files doesn't work for me

When I perform a find in files, nothing ever returns. I just get a blank open tab with a time circle spinning, and nothing ever returns even when searching for items I know are in there. What am I doing wrong?

One thing that happens to me is that the file I want to search in isn’t selected. Make sure you click on workspace or whatever folder you want to search in before running it.

@andywise on ssh workspace this can mean nak is not installed.

How do I install that?

it should have been installed automatically
you can reinstall nak alone by running

cd ~/.c9
npm i https://github.com/c9/nak/tarball/c9

and reinstall all deps with https://github.com/c9/install
