Does Live Preview Injection not work with SSH workspace?

I have WordPress hosted on DigitalOcean. I’ve SSH into my server and I’m trying to work on the theme. However, the live preview doesn’t update. Is this normal behavior or is there something wrong?

FYI: I have an SSL certificate for my site, so the site does load, just nothing changes when I make edits to the files.

If you mean builtin live preview, it only works for static html files opened from preview.c9users.io with the url parameter for livepreview
