Creating a big file results in all data loss

#1

I met a problem when I tar a large directory to a .tar file which makes my total storage exceeds my disk space quota. Then, the tragedy happens, all my data are lost and only the directory workspace exists. I don’t know whether this is a bug or not, and it seems that C9 initializes my space into a original state where all my data are removed.

#2

In which workspace did this happen?
most likely your files are not shown because ide is unable to connect.

#3

All my files in /home/ubuntu are lost, only a empty directory /home/ubuntu/workspace exists. I guess IDE is connected successfully since I can perform shell commands (such as ls, cd) normally.

foool@dullgull:~ $ tree
