Closed mongod terminal


I accidentally closed the terminal that is running my mongod. I opened another terminal and I am trying to restart my mongod but I keep getting looped back to the command line.

What Can I do to just shutdown the instance of mongod that is already running?


Having the same issue for the third time. ???
