Characters with the same visual width

#1

To print special character in C program I use the following:

#include <locale.h>
...
setlocale(LC_ALL,"");
...
printf("%lc",0x25b);

My question is: What to do to have the same visual width of these characters, like all other with ASCII codes?

Width of characters depends on fonts available on your computer.
Which browser/OS do you use?
Are characters in the example bellow rendered with the same width?

"aɛe"
"iii"

I use Google Chrome Version 48.0.2564.97 m
Windows XP
Is it possible to set character width to be constant visual width?
I want to use such characters in mine editor for codding!

the default font is supposed to be monospace, but maybe some fonts are missing on your computer. try installing consolas font http://www.hanselman.com/blog/ConsolasFontFamilyNowAvailableForDownload.aspx
