Change or delete header elements? Or just run locally?

rails

#1

I am testing a webhook thru Cloud9 and when I do, I see these header elements a couple of which are custom to Cloud9

`X-BACKEND →apps-proxycache-control →max-age=0, private, must-revalidatecontent-length →408content-type
→application/json; charset=utf-8date →Wed, 09 Mar 2016 22:08:35 GMTetag
→W/"1597b76d36bbf934a65483acd4e26b00"server →WEBrick/1.3.1 (Ruby/2.3.0/2015-12-25)x-request-id
→27832ed6-1d63-46a3-a404-f6b599e98196x-runtime →2.159152`

I can add to these with Ruby, but I can’t delete them… Anyway I can turn these off:
X-BACKEND
x-request-id
x-runtime

I’ve tried to run response.headers.clear but it only clears a couple standard elements.

Or I was thinking I could run this locally. But I have tried a couple things with no success:
rails s
rails s -b $IP -p 3000
rails s -b $IP -p 80

Any help is much appreciated

Hi,

I think some (or all, not sure) of these headers are added by the Cloud9 proxy, so there isn’t a way to turn them off. Can you tell me how they’re affecting your development?

Regarding running rails within your workspace. You can run the following command:

rails s -b $IP -p $PORT

you can also use 8081, or 8082 if you’re running something else on port 8080 ($PORT). You can read more about multiple ports in our documentation.
