Cannot install telnet package

pmverma1:~/workspace (master) $ sudo apt-get install telnet

E: Unable to locate package telnet

how can I install telnet package?

That’s because it’s not in the default repository list and even then, I don’t think it’d even work unless you want it for a client. You’ll have to add the standard ubuntu repository urls to get it.

Try sudo apt-get -y update first, then sudo apt-get -y install telnet. Seems like the workspace boxes do not include up-to-date package lists when they are created.

Thank you, it help me fix the problem

sudo apt-get -y update

sudo apt-get [PACKAGE_NAME]
