It’s driving me mad having to save my code all the time before a make. Is there a setup option that allows me to autosave when I run make ? Thanks.
You could use a bash utility like
inotifywait to run make:
This command simply blocks for inotify events, making it appropriate for use in shell scripts. It can watch any set of files and directories, and can recursively watch entire directory trees.
You can install this on your workspace using
sudo apt-get install inotify-tools
However, having to compile code is one of the major drawbacks of a compiled language
